Kids Boost Immunity (KBI) is a BCERAC approved online FREE resource, funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada, with content developed by teachers. Don't be fooled by the name, this program is not just about immunization but rather includes a broad range of curricular topics. There are more than 100 lessons and quizzes in science, health, social studies and critical thinking for grades 4-12. Curriculum guides for every province and territory provide outcomes and correlating lessons by grade. There is also a Teacher Centre with lesson plans, articles, tips, etc. Assessment is built-in and easy for teachers to report on individual student progress. KBI is offered in English and French. Indigenous perspectives are presented by Elders and Storytellers. Leaderboards add a game component as teachers can choose to display class scores on quizzes. There is also a citizenship aspect as students earn vaccines for others in need when they answer quiz questions. Hence the name....kids boost immunity...for others.
This presentation will share the services and products that are offered locally and province-wide. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have
