New South Asian Canadian Educator Resources

Open School BC (OSBC) has worked with the South Asian Studies Institute (University of the Fraser Valley, UFV) and the Royal BC Museum (RBCM) to develop an educational resource focused on South Asian Canadian communities and their culture, heritage, and history in B.C. This resource will be freely available, with an intended audience of K-12 educators and students.

Presenters

  • Shayla Starcheski

    Shayla is an educational project manager at Open School BC and has been working on a brand new resource for teaching South Asian Canadian history. 

  • Kim Gough

    Kim is a Learning Program Developer at the Royal BC Museum. With a focus on outreach, Kim developes resources and opportunities for people who can't physically visit the museum to explore the collections, learn new skills and engage in dialogue and reflection.
