This sessions will build on the concepts and research discussed in the keynote. Mindfulness is an easy concept to understand but challenging to practice. Come learn tips and tricks on staying somewhat sane in the teaching profession. Mindfulness allow us to feel calm and present and self compassions is a healing and restorative strategy.
Dominique Sullivan has an M.Ed in Teacher- librarianship from the University of Alberta and is a practicing yoga instructor in Nanaimo. She is the Zen Librarian! Dominique has served with BCTLA executive and chapter member, won BCTLA New Teacher Librarian of 2016 and is an evaluator for ERAC. She currently teaches Making Friends with Yourself: Mindful self compassion course for teens and works as a teacher-librarian in a French Immersion School.
